Quality Technician

Advanced Fiber Products is a leader in fiberglass pultrusion with the goal of consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations for quality, efficiency, and safety.
The role of the Quality Technician is to ensure these goals are met through an operational and analytical focus, an attention to detail, defect detection and corrective/preventative action, and strong internal partnerships with the production department.
This is a fast-paced job that requires walking, standing, and satisfactory multitasking.
Perform audits for quality system, report results, and recommend process improvements Hands on interaction with process control for dimensional and visual inspection Be able to utilize metrology equipment, (calipers, tape measure, dial indicators, and gauge blocks) to verify quality measurements, and train shop floor employees Provide quality support to shift Supervisors/Leads, and other production team members Assist with writing and updating operational procedures and work instructions Assist with corrective and preventative actions for shop floor personnel Become a key member of the AFP lean culture Other duties as assigned by Quality Manager High School diploma or equivalent combined with a minimum of 1-year production/manufacturing experience o Prefer Associates degree and experience in manufacturing environment o Equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered o Demonstrate leadership ability, strong communication skills, and effective problem-solving skills o PC skills, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) o This is a hands-on position spending 95% working on the floor as Quality ControlPay based on experienced and knowledge.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
